Discussion

The Machine would like all labor and activity to fall under the dominance of the formal economy. In other words, The Machine would prefer all action to be bought and paid for.

The informal economy also tends to be more resilient, creative, and adaptable. Informal economies rapidly adapt to unfolding circumstances in ways that the formal economy is unable to.
